01.What MapShare is
MapShare sells digital guides — curated lists of places (restaurants, cafés, viewpoints, hikes) that open directly in Google Maps and save into your own places in one tap. Each guide is a one-time purchase delivered as a private Google Maps share link.
We don't run a subscription. You pay once, you own that guide, and you get free updates for the same edition year.
02.Your account
You need an account to buy a guide. We use your email for receipts, map links, and password reset. You can sign up with email, Google, or Apple.
You're responsible for keeping your password safe. If you think someone else has access, reset it from Account → Profile & settings or email security@mapshare.co.
03.Buying guides
Prices are in US dollars by default; you can switch currencies in your profile. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Every guide you buy stays in your account forever. You can re-open it any time from My Lists.
Free updates apply only within the edition year shown on the guide (e.g. 2026). Major next-year editions may require a discounted upgrade — we'll always tell you the price up front, and we never auto-charge.
04.Refunds — 14 days, no questions
If you're not happy with a guide for any reason, you have 14 days from purchase to request a full refund from Account → Billing → Refund.
After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion — usually we still say yes, especially if a guide has accuracy issues.
Refunds remove the guide from your account and revoke the map link.
05.What you can and can't do with guides
You can: open the guide and save its places into your own Google Maps, share the saved map with friends and family for personal trip planning, edit pins for your own use.
You can't: re-sell or re-distribute the guides or their map links, post them publicly, or use them in commercial guidebooks/products without a license.

06.Creator program
If you're an approved creator on MapShare, you earn 70% of the net revenue from your guides. We pay out monthly via Stripe Connect, with a $50 minimum.
Creator content must be your own work or properly licensed. We may remove guides that violate accuracy standards or that we receive credible third-party complaints about.
07.Accuracy
We work hard to keep guides accurate — every guide is re-checked quarterly. But places close, owners change, and notes get out of date. We can't guarantee every pin will be open when you visit.
If you find a guide with multiple closures, email us. We'll either update the guide and notify you, or offer a refund.
08.Changes & cancellation
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll email everyone with an account at least 14 days before they take effect.
You can delete your account at any time from Account → Profile → Danger zone. Deleting clears your purchase history and revokes your saved map links.
