How MapShare works

We make city cheat-sheets for your maps app.

Editors and local writers curate small lists of places worth going to — coffee, tapas, hidden gems, hikes. You buy a pack for $1–$9, open the map link, and tap once to save every place into Google Maps — then walk the city with the right places already pinned.

How it works

From buy to in-your-map in one tap

No extra app to install, no files to download — Google Maps is all you need. You buy a pack, open the map link, and save it straight to Google Maps.

🗺
STEP 01

Find a pack you'd actually use

Browse by city, category, or creator. Read the preview — first 5 places are unlocked so you know what you're getting.

💳
STEP 02

Buy it for $1–$9

Pay once for the pack. Payment goes through Stripe. 14-day refund, no questions asked.

🔗
STEP 03

Open your map link

You get a private map link in your inbox — no files to download. Click it and the full list opens right in Google Maps, on your phone or desktop.

📍
STEP 04

Tap “Save to your lists”

One tap drops every place into your own Google Maps, with our notes and tags. They're pinned and ready when you land. Done.

The team

Two designers, four editors, twelve local creators.

MapShare started in 2024 in a Barcelona coworking, when one of us screenshot one too many tapas lists and asked, “why isn't this just a link I can save into my maps?”

Today we're a small team of editors and creators. We work with local food writers in 12 cities. Every place in every pack has been verified by someone who lives there. The packs get re-checked every three months.

What we won't do

Two lines we won't cross

No extra app to install

You don't download anything new. Your pack opens and saves straight into Google Maps — the app you already have on your phone.

No ads, no trackers

No banners. No third-party advertising trackers. No Facebook pixel. The business model is one number: pack price.

What people say

Travellers, writers, restaurant owners

This is the way travel content should work in 2026. Lists belong in your maps app, not in 17 browser tabs.

I bought the Tokyo ramen pack, used it for 4 days, and it didn't lead me wrong once. Worth every yen.

Our place got mentioned in a MapShare pack and we noticed within a week. They didn't ask us for anything — refreshing.
